The Facebook

Well I saw The Social Network like I said I would, and now I blog, as I said I would.

So first off,  It totally deserved the awards it got. It was probably one of the best screen plays I have seen based off true events. I am pretty surprised Mr. Mark allowed them to use the information they did. Not that it was anything you couldn't find on wikipedia, but there's something about a writer putting it on a screen that makes it more shocking.

Anyway, it was the morning before I saw the film that I was going over one of my character development charts, and a few things to look for. I assume most of the people do something similar before every movie, cause the social network hit those points dead on, and ended up winning awards for it. I would also like to point out that it had the most appropriate sound tracks ever (it also won an award for that)

The film is, as everyone says, is a classic story of betrayal that has been done many times. But this: this was done an interesting way. How many of you before seeing the movie knew somewhat of what has happened with facebook since it started? I assume a lot of you had, just as I assume the director knew so, because while you don't know exactly what's going on, the movie's ending scene is a couple hours after the third, or so, scene. Now how can this be? Well yes, it is one of those movies that shifts time in the middle and tries to confuse the crap out of you.

I don't think I can emphasize how much I enjoyed each scene as it flew by. I wish the movie had actually been longer so there could be a little more depth to things that everyone would say doesn't matter, but I still would've liked it. I also want to say that I do believe it deserved to beat Inception in every category they competed in. This movie is definitely one that anyone could sit down, watch, and enjoy. While on the other hand, when someone is about to watch Inception they have to warm up their mind so they can try to understand everything that's going on. So I think The Social Network is the award winner, while Inception is fan winner. No one I know has left watching Inception without questions, and I think the way The Social Network wrapped itself up was a reason it beat Inception.
