Demonic Angels

Buh boom, aush!

So I watched Angels and Demons with my big brother today. I had already seen it, but my brother hadn't so I thought I'd watch it again with older pair of eyes.

Much to my surprise, i got a lot of different stuff out of it the second time around. Angels flying everywhere, Demons running around cursing people, and a detective with a magnifying glass lokkin' for clues all prevent you from seeing "What lies beneath" Boom! Shout out!

Okay, I don't want to confuse you too much, but there were no angels, demons, or detective/there was a detective. But the movie was still good! It's actually a prelude to The Davinci Code, while they made the movie after the Davinci Code.

The main character is a symbolosist (if i'm saying that right) that knows basically everything about Vatican city and it's history. Tom Hanks is someone I have always loved in any role he's played. One of my top ten picks for a male actor.

He had a good supporting cast in this film including Ewan Mcgregor. They all did a great job with the parts they were entrusted to. I don't exactly know how well the movie interprets the book it's based on, but I think even if it is a horrible representation, it was still a great movie.

Anyway, this main character has to try and stop a group called The Illuminati who are threatening to kill four of the candidates to replace the late pope. He is a great suspense thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat, a great and fun history lesson, as well as a great little lesson on Catholics and some of their traditions.

I would totally recommend anyone to see it, a couple gruesome scenes that do not last all that long so it is pretty appropriate for any age.

On another note, the Oscar nominations are tomorrow morning! So expect to hear from me again!
