"When waiting for a king to apologize, one can wait a long time"

When I first saw a trailer for The King's Speech I immediately thought "Why didn't they just make it four hours long and put it on masterpiece theater?" I never thought it would turn into a huge film getting recognition from the Oscars, that everyone would rave about. I was completely wrong.

Now I'm sure a lot of you are not aware that Geoffrey Rush, aka, the speech therapist, was previously a pirate lord cursed, killed, and brought back to life. Why would you, unless you are a huge fan of him and know the name. However, he is, but you wouldn't know it from this movie either. I half fell in love with him by the time the movie was over. He did such an amazing job with his role, it almost made me cry for joy.

Now, Collin Firth, every girl and her mother knows him, and maybe even some of gents would recognized the name. He was Mr. Darcy in the original Pride and Prejudice.  Everyone said how great of a job he did, and i'm not about to go and argue that; it would be incredibly hard to play a character with a speech defect, when you can talk perfectly fine. However, I don't know how/why he's making such a ruckus. I mean, yes he's charming, handsome, chivalrous,  and everything a guy could possibly want, but that shouldn't get him an award over James Franco. I won't be surprised if he wins an Oscar, nor disappointing, just a little sorry for Franco.

Now to Tom Hooper, I swear, if he gets an Oscar over Fincher or Nolan, I'm going to just turn the whole show off. He did a fine job directing, but the other two are just too far out of his league. But to be fair, I don't know of any ways to re-do the movie to make it better, but hey, that's why I'm not a director. I would love to see some more of his films to see if this one was his typical style, or if he just went out of his way to be different.

Lastly, I would like to throw in there that Beletrix Lestrange/The Queen of Hearts was phenomenal as well. I will always remember how much she can change; the typical actor doesn't go from killing Sirius Black, to being the next Queen. She is just one of the many reasons to look foward to part 2 of The Deathly Hallows!!!
